WHY Does it matter?

Scott County, KY | Young Life

YoungLife in Scott County started back in 2016. A group of adults consisting of but not limited to Tanner and Erin Ball, Catherine Foust, Jeana Keeth, Monica Lincoln and many others in the community and surrounding areas saw the tool of YoungLife a valuable way to reach local kids with the Gospel. These adults are still invested today in a variety of ways and continue to grow the area. In August of 2019 the area had raised enough support to hire a full time staff to serve as Area Director, Hannah Childress.

YoungLife in Scott County is currently operating in one of the local middle schools: Georgetown Middle as well as both high schools: Scott County and Great Crossing. They have taken 40+ middle school students to summer camp over the past three years as well as hosted a variety of events through out the school year inviting all students to a fun and safe environment to experience adventure, build lasting friendships, and hear more about Jesus.

IT MATTERS

Leaders invest their time walking alongside of local teenagers in their most transformative years, regardless of their response to faith.
